Tesco NURTURE Module

Tesco NURTURE Programme has become the Add-On NURTURE Module to the GLOBALG.A.P. IFA Version 5

Since January 2017 the Tesco NURTURE programme has become an additional NURTURE Module to the current GLOBALG.A.P. IFA Version 5 audit processes. This reduced audit duplication and increased flexibility for suppliers when choosing how they want their sites to be assessed. The NURTURE Module focuses on Plant Protection Product List (PPPL) management and the transition to GLOBALG.A.P. does not affect how suppliers manage their PPPLs.

More information on the NURTURE evolution (transition process and time-lines) is available as annex to the NURTURE Module Scheme Rules and from the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat, your Tesco Technical Manager, UK Primary supplier, Direct supplier, your NURTURE Certfication Body or www.tescosuppliernetwork.com.

Only Certification Bodies (CBs) currently approved for the Tesco NURTURE Programme will be permitted to perform audits against the GLOBALG.A.P. plus NURTURE Module. Since October 2017 Tesco has opened the approval for new CBs that comply with strict performance criteria measured by their Key Performance Indicator (KPI) score. In 2019 Tesco has set the following minimum criteria for new and current NURTURE CBs:

Overall KPI score above 3,86
No sub-score below 3,00 and
No active yellow card.
Approved NURTURE CBs that fail to meet the above-mentioned criteria will be put under surveillance by the Tesco Governance Committee and given a deadline to improve. If the CB fails to improve its performance significantly, the Tesco Governance Committee can sanction the CB and even reconsider its participation in the NURTURE Module.
